Cheryl A. Gratton, PhD, is a licensed psychologist and clinical
neuropsychologist in private practice with 24 years of clinical experience
in psychotherapy and assessment. Dr. Gratton primarily treats adult
individuals and generally utilizes a cognitive approach. She believes
that personal healing is facilitated in a warm and supportive environment,
which provides the patient the safe atmosphere necessary for introspection
and self-disclosure.
Dr. Gratton is a caring and compassionate listener who believes
in a teamwork approach: while the psychologist is an expert on people
in general, the patient is the expert regarding himself or herself.
Emphasizing enhancing self-esteem and improving self-care, Dr. Gratton
encourages each patient to treat himself or herself with respect.
Dr. Gratton is trained in psychological testing and completed a
post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology. Neuropsychological
assessment involves the evaluation of brain functioning to determine
the effects of traumatic brain injury or stroke or the presence of
dementia.
Flexible hours for scheduling are available as well as easy accessibility
for emergency situations after hours. Dr. Gratton treats both men
and women struggling with such issues as depression, anxiety, bereavement,
stress, low self-esteem, and relationship problems. Psychotherapy
services are frequently covered by health insurance. |
